I will be graduating in the spring of 2017 with a focus on power engineering.<\/p>\n<p>Last summer I interned at Burns &amp; McDonnell in their Energy Group. I was tasked with many different jobs\u00a0for a power plant controls upgrade for Duke Energy. I was \u00a0creating demo and construction drawings that will be used during the construction phase of the project, as well as updating a database to keep records of relay settings as a reference for future projects.<\/p>\n<p>My first opportunity in power was at Xcel Energy. I had the chance to intern with their consultant management team, and get a wide ranging view on the energy industry as a whole.<\/p>\n<p>I am also very involved in my fraternity as well as the College of Engineering.
